I am 65 years old and just started wearing flip flops a couple of years ago. I have tried over the years, but none have felt comfortable, but I bought a pair of the Sole Balboa Flip Flops two years ago and they are the most comfortable flip flop I have used. They conform to my "flat feet" and I now wear them everywhere, even in the water when I go boating. I decided to buy another pair of a different color and I am VERY pleased with them.
Advantages: Water Proof, forms to my feet, long lasting.

For years I wore flip flops with zero support. As a result I developed problems with my feet calves. So much so that when I'd go to do wind sprints -- my calves felt like they were torn. Two years ago, I bought my first pair of these -- and my issues have cleared up. I'll never go back to the no support products again.
Advantages: These are comfortable and last a couple of years even with daily use. The black and grey color palette is nice and goes with pretty much everything in my wardrobe.
Disadvantages: The first pair I bought had a manufacturing defect where the strap had a raised area that caused a painful skin irritation. I wrote to the manufacturer about a replacement pair -- and they weren't very helpful. Wound up fixing problem myself with no further issues. The second pair was perfect right out of the box.
